Lenora ("we", "our", or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy.
This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect when you use the Lenora app,
how we use it, and your rights in relation to it.
1. Information We Collect

Apple ID / Email address.
When you sign in with Apple, we receive your Apple ID and, if you choose to share it,
your email address. This is used solely to authenticate your account and sync your data
across your devices.

Vocabulary content.
The word lists, translations, categories, and study progress you create are stored in
your account to provide the core app functionality.

App preferences.
Settings such as your selected language and display preferences are stored locally on
your device and are not transmitted to our servers.

AI feature inputs.
When you use AI-powered features (vocabulary generation, OCR translation, word
enrichment), the text or image you submit is sent to our servers and forwarded to
third-party AI providers for processing. We do not store this content beyond the time
needed to return a result to you.

Subscription status.
Purchases are processed entirely by Apple through the App Store. We receive confirmation
of your active subscription tier but never see your payment details.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Provide, maintain, and improve Lenora.
- Authenticate your account and sync vocabulary data across your devices.
- Process AI feature requests and enforce subscription usage limits.
- Respond to support requests.
We do not use your data for advertising or sell it to third parties.
3. Data Sharing

AI providers.
Text or image content submitted to AI features is forwarded to third-party AI service
providers under confidentiality agreements. These providers are not permitted to use
your data for model training or any other purpose outside of returning a result.

Cloud infrastructure.
Your account and vocabulary data are stored on AWS (Amazon Web Services). AWS processes
data in accordance with their own privacy and security standards.

Legal requirements.
We may disclose information if required to do so by law or in response to a valid legal
process (e.g., a court order or government request).
4. Data Retention
Your account data is retained for as long as your account is active. You can request
deletion of your account and all associated data at any time by contacting us at
LenoraSupport@bluekyte.de.
Deletion requests are processed within 30 days.
5. Security
We use industry-standard measures — including HTTPS encryption in transit and AWS security
controls at rest — to protect your data. However, no method of transmission over the
internet is completely secure.
6. Children's Privacy
Lenora is designed for users aged 4 and older. For children under the age of 13,
a parent or legal guardian must provide consent before the child uses the app.
We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 without
verifiable parental consent. If you believe we have inadvertently collected such
information without consent, please contact us so we can delete it promptly.
7. Your Rights
Depending on your location, you may have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you.
- Request correction or deletion of your data.
- Object to or restrict certain processing activities.
- Receive a copy of your data in a portable format (data portability).

8. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material
changes by updating the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of
